I’ve been asked over and over again “when are you going to sell your natural clothes wash powder?”  The answer is never!

Every product that I make has to be safety assessed and tested and it costs around £200 per item.  So, I’ve decided to share my recipe’s with you for you to make at home!

Shop bought clothes wash powder and liquid are full of Methylisothiazolinone, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Perfume etc. They irritate the skin and can cause major skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, acne and boils, sores.

By making this one simple change, you can drastically reduce your body’s toxicity levels!

Clothes Wash Powder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 100g natural soap (Freefrom SLS, Perfume etc) – buy it here on my website
  • 14 ounces borax substitute
  • 14 ounces washing soda
  • 10 Drops each Lemon, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Essential Oils (antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic etc)

Instructions

Slice the soap into 8 pieces. Put it into a food processor or blender, add the borax and blitz till the soap is in fine particles. Add the Washing Soda and mix again. (Just let the dust settle before removing the lid so you don’t inhale the fine particles.)

Store in a sealed container.  Add 2 tbsp into the washing machine tray.

don’t use fabric softener as it’s also full of perfumes and nasties, I use a natural Fabric Freshener and spray it directly onto clothes on the clothes line, airer or sprayed onto clothes before putting in the tumble dryer.

At my “Reduce Toxicity in your Body & Home” workshop, I teach you how to make (and take away with you) natural aromatherapy non-toxic Fabric Freshener, All Purpose Cleaner, Window Cleaner & Baby Wet Wipes (can also be used by mum to remove makeup in a rush).
